The key thing for mine is if this year’s Samsung monitor panels will offer 90% rec.2020 alongside the 240Hz uplift and the improved AR layer. That would be an incredible experience (when support eventually arrives).

Indeed, would be great to see that!

Looks like Acer has ditched the X27 S and is instead planning to launch the XV275K P3.

“ASUS’s latest refresh could hit shelves in the next 6 months.”

So in reality available maybe for Christmas the way these releases have been lately…

              Pretty much.

A relevant addition to this thread is our review of the Acer X32 FP. They’ve taken a pretty innovative approach to a relatively limited number of dimming zones for such a large IPS-type panel. The local dimming algorithm dark biases heavily to favour ‘depth and atmosphere’ and is very responsive. But some shades appear darker than intended (are dragged down) as a result.

They say, improved text clarity on the OLED PG32UCDM, how can they improve it?

Is burn in still relevant in modern OLED?

The 2nd generation QD-OLED panel used there has a modified subpixel structure, which reduces but does not eliminate ‘fringing’ issues – this is covered in our article on the topic. Burn-in is certainly still relevant, which is why they include mitigation measures to help counteract it (they talked about those in the full press conference video, for good reason).

I love when there is a PC Monitors article to read on what I’m interested in.
Damn… I think that OLED still not good for my use 🙁

It’s also worth mentioning (as per the conclusion of the article) that having a tighter pixel density will also help minimise fringing. So the PG32UCDM and its ~32″ ‘4K’ QD-OLED panel should in theory be relatively good in that regard.

I will most likely purchase this monitor. It hits all the spots for me.

Would love to know your experiences if you do! Hope ASUS has a review sample they can give (and not for a rushed review, which I find too limiting and stressful). 🙂

Of course, I will definitely post them. That said, it seems like Q2 2024 is a realistic release so we have a long waiting time for this.

Hello PCM and congrats for your work. You have any news or opinion for the new miniLed Acer XV275up3 or the aoc q27g3xmn. I am interested and only the Acer is amd freesync certified but has 2ms response and aoc 1ms. Because they are va panel that is important but i prefer to be certified by amd or nvidia. I was a owner CM GP27q but he has many flaws.

The first video review for the AOC Q27G3XMN is out. I don’t understand Chinese but the panel from the assembly looks like is the TPV TPM270WQ1. I think that is Samsung VA panel with custom backlight and the pixel responsiveness look decent. It looks a decent HDR monitor with good value. Lets see and other reviews for more information and some for the Acer XV275UP3.

That’s good to hear! 🙂 It’s really bugging me that AOC Europe and US are so misaligned with their product releases, this would be an easy one to request for review if it were available in Europe. 🙁 It can’t be based on a Samsung VA panel as Samsung Display haven’t manufactured LCD panels for a while now.

Edit: Confirmed in this teardown to be based on the CSOT SG2701G02-2 CELL.

AOC Q27G3XMN is using panel from CSOT (SG2701G02-2)

This should be a sick monitor for only $309.99. I can’t wait!
