Hi frog7162,
Yes, the PlayStation 4 will happily use an FHD (1920 x 1080 / 1080p) signal. So you should be good to go if you just hook the monitor up using HDMI.

May 8, 2021 at 2:39 pm #64476Alexx567Hi there !!
I am looking for a monitor for Ps4 to be used in the future also for Ps5, 27/28 inches.
I mainly play online with fast-paced competitive games, so I would need a very responsive monitor in response times and especially with input lag.I’m not particularly interested in 4k or 2k resolution, even Full HD is fine for my needs as long as it’s responsive and supports 120hz in Full HD in the future. For “relaxing” games where graphics are more important than input lag I already own a Samsung 4k TV.
Returning to the monitor, I have read a lot of your reviews and it seems that the BenQ EX2710 can meet my needs, do you agree? Do you have better to recommend?
Thanks a lot and congratulations for your accurate reviews!
May 8, 2021 at 2:45 pm #64478PCM2Hi Alexx567,
I’m glad you enjoy the reviews. And I certainly agree that the BenQ EX2710 would be the most suitable choice. I think you’ll really enjoy the experience it offers, with its mixture of strong responsiveness and pleasing colour output. It’s really our go-to recommendation at the moment if you’re interested in gaming on a 27″ Full HD screen rather than WQHD or ‘4K’. There’s really nothing I’d recommend above that for your uses and preferences.
Just as a small aside – and this is nothing personal as this is a very common thing- I encourage people to try to avoid using the term ‘2K’ to describe the 2560 x 1440 resolution. See boring rant here. 😉
May 8, 2021 at 4:35 pm #64479Alexx567First of all thank you for the quick reply, I’m ordering the Benq from amazon now!
Thanks again and sorry for the inappropriate term 2k, in the future I will only use the resolution to identify those monitors 🙂
November 20, 2022 at 9:11 pm #69830KuratkoI am looking for a new monitor. I would like to connect it to ps 4 and i would use it as second monitor for my notebook HP gaming laptop 15. I chose 27″ ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQZ . But i dont know if ps4 and my laptop would run it good. I really dont understand monitors. So please someone recommend me some monitor.
My GPU is AMD Ryzen 5 3550H with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx
My RAM is 16 GB
My graphic card is AMD Radeon(TM) Vega 8 Graphics.November 20, 2022 at 9:23 pm #69833PCM2Hi Kuratko,
Refer to our gaming monitor recommendations for some models I’d suggest considering. The PS4 is limited to a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 (FHD / 1080p) and it would really make more sense to focus on that if it’s a major part of what you’re using it for. You will get the sharpest and ‘cleanest’ image if your monitor’s native resolution matches the system’s resolution. If you want a well-priced QHD model instead (which is more useful for productivity and should work fine with your laptop as well) then consider the BenQ EX2780Q.
