Thx guys my question was because I saw the complains of users regarding Asus Native calibration software, I been watching also Artisright (Benq ambassador) so far the Asus software only recognizes 3 calibrator models the i1 is one of them.
To me was sad that a very good monitor have this issues, but as alternative is good to know that we can still calibrating using the ICC profiles.
Sorry I’m very new on this, as I say before, I use a tv as monitor for very long time,January 23, 2022 at 9:10 am #67269kanedaWally,
after a month, you still enjoy the Asus Monitor, I waiting on that one, but is out of stock in US, so dunno if I wanna wait or get the PA329CV or the Benq EW3280U
Thx.February 14, 2022 at 7:47 am #67474WallyYes I am.
Meanwhile I mounted the monitor on a Neomount NM-D750D monitorarm, but that one is a little bit too weak. The gas spring is strong enough, but the pivot point doesn’t run so smoothly, with the weight of the PA329C.February 18, 2022 at 5:44 pm #67523YmerGood morning!
This is my first post on the forum. Very thankful for all the information I have found here so far.
I’ve read through the whole thread, as well as reviews and other threads. I am having a little trouble finding a 32″ or larger monitor that features PIP/PBP (it’s an absolute necessity, as I use the same monitor for two computers and no secondary screen) and works properly with the M1 chip. I am returning a Philips 328E1K, which I adored; I had no idea I’d enjoy a curved screen so much, but not only it doesn’t have PIP/PIB, there was no way to make it work properly with the new M1 Pro chip (did manage to make it work with the previous M1, though). I’ve been looking at the PD3200U (as the EW3280U doesn’t support PIB/PIB, unfortunately) LG 32UN880 and wondering if there is something else that might be better for me out there?
Thank you all so much in advance =)
February 18, 2022 at 5:49 pm #67528PCM2Hi Ymer,
I don’t own any Mac systems and don’t test them so I can’t really advise on model compatibility there. I know some models seem to have certain firmware issues that mean they don’t work with their full functionality on Mac systems. As far as I’m aware the PD3200U should work properly as I’ve received quite a bit of positive feedback from a variety of users, including of modern Mac systems. And in general it’s a nice monitor that should suit your uses well. 🙂
February 20, 2022 at 8:44 pm #67543YmerHey PCM2,
I got it, it’s an excellent monitor, and it works perfectly with the M1 Pro. It’s a shame, though, the Philips was not bad, and I really miss the curved screen now. =)
Also, the PIP and PBP functionality is not useful for me. I might consider returning it for the EW3280U, which I’m sure will also work perfectly.
I could try the Dual Controller in LG’s 32UN880, but I’ve pretty much lost fate in PIP/PIB. The way it works, I would be better off having one of the laptops set up on an arm by the monitor.
I know it’s a lot of questions, but yet one more, are there any curved screen models that are up to this level you could recommend?
Thank you for being so helpful!
February 20, 2022 at 8:47 pm #67549PCM2You’re welcome and I’m glad you’re enjoying the PD3200U overall. Seems you’re getting a feel for the features and performance characteristics you like and those you feel are less useful (like PiP/PbP). You’ll hopefully get used to the flat screen again in time as you spend more time with it or if you end up switching over to another alternative with flat screen like the EW3280U. 🙂
