The values shown in the service menu there indicate the colour channel setup made for various colour temperature settings, which are usually standardised across all units of the same model and possibly various other models from the manufacturer. That’s not related to the factory calibration in sRGB mode.
The printed factory calibration reports you’ve included from two different X32 FP units, though, are indeed identical to one another from what I can see. And also identical to the one included with my unit. That’s rather misleading of Acer in my view – they should make it clear it’s a general ‘sample’ report rather than making it look like it’s supposed to be specific to the unit it gives the serial number for. This isn’t the case with all models at all (not talking about Acer here specifically, but looking at various models I’ve assessed from other manufacturers – Degrader has seen the same).
As for the accuracy of the X32FP’s factory sRGB calibration in practice, that’s not bad on my unit – DeltaE <1 is a bit optimistic but actual results are still respectable. But this is the thing when considering any factory calibration really. They depend on the exact shades you're assessing, the measurement device used and software used. Furthermore, things drift over time and even the colour temperature changes that occur with a bit of use compared to the 'factory fresh' monitor the manufacturer calibrates. Phosphors degrade and the initial change can certainly be sufficient to impact the accuracy of any factory calibration, on some models more than others.

after the firmware update the monitor is very very good to me.
way better than before…EDIT: If I look better to my sheet, the gamma chart is clearly different, the scale of the graphs are not enough to clearly shows the difference but the differences are there.
Glad that I was wrong 🙂June 14, 2023 at 6:49 am #73044PCM2I can actually see some differences for the gamma graphs now you mention it, if I look closely enough. And if I compare it to mine, some slight further differences. But the measured colour accuracy values are far too close between your reports and mine (appear to be identical, for every shade) for it to be coincidence. It does look like that part of the report is a pre-prepared ‘sample’ which they’ve just copied across units. That doesn’t mean the calibration itself isn’t just fine and carried out per unit, but it’s also misleading in my book. Though I’m glad you really like the monitor after the firmware update. 🙂
June 14, 2023 at 10:22 am #73047sblantipodithe only thing I don’t like about FALD monitors is to have to activate/deactivate FALD when switching between HDR to SDR and viceversa.
are there some monitors that makes this switch painless?June 14, 2023 at 10:28 am #73049PCM2It’s common to have the setting apply universally like it does in this case rather than only applying to SDR or HDR. One thing that sticks in my mind was the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 which had an ‘Auto’ setting that was supposed to only enable local dimming under HDR. Except it didn’t work very well and sometimes activated under SDR sometimes depending on the content, including on the desktop where I really didn’t want it active.
June 14, 2023 at 11:11 am #73050DegraderJune 14, 2023 at 11:20 am #73052PCM2It was the same with the PG32UQX and other G-SYNC module monitors I’ve used if I recall correctly, the setting was remembered separately for HDR and SDR. On the X35 the setting was called ‘SDR Variable Backlight’ and it was only available for SDR (always on for HDR). On the ViewSonic XG341C-2K it was like it is with the Acer, a universally applied setting.
June 19, 2023 at 6:24 pm #73094sblantipodiI think that this alone needs a very negative point 🙂
Switching between HDR and SDR is better now but is still unconvenient.June 19, 2023 at 9:12 pm #73099DegraderI’m just curious: can you clarify? What is improved and what is still unconvenient?
June 19, 2023 at 9:13 pm #73104PCM2If I’m not mistaken he is referring to the fact the X32 FP now offers automatic HDR activation and deactivation as improved and the fact that ‘Adaptive Dimming’ is not set separately for SDR and HDR as the inconvenience.
June 20, 2023 at 9:18 am #73114sblantipodiPCM2 summed it up correctly 🙂
June 22, 2023 at 7:34 am #73144sblantipodiCan’t wait to see it.
I asked Acer to make adaptive dimming relative to SDR and HDR and not global.
Let’s see what they answer.
June 22, 2023 at 3:20 pm #73171spirohNow that would be amazing and take care of my last issue I have with the monitor.

June 22, 2023 at 10:00 pm #73176sblantipodi1 hour and 21 minutes, OMG, I need popcorn…
June 22, 2023 at 10:01 pm #73178PCM2Remember to keep hydrated as well! And to think, there was ~2.5 hours of raw footage. It took a lot of editing. 😉
June 23, 2023 at 8:51 am #73183sblantipodiyes yes, a beer helped as well… very nice video, super awesome…
very great work…June 23, 2023 at 8:52 am #73185PCM2Glad you enjoyed it – and hopefully not just the beer talking. 😀
June 23, 2023 at 9:19 am #73186sblantipodithis is the best review I have seen on a monitor since years.
subscribed to all the other reviews since I’m in constant research for an upgrade xDI like all rounder monitor. I have one PC to do it all.
I work on it, I play on it, I study on it, I do everything with it.
So I like good all rounder monitors and I would not dislike a 2000+ zones monitor with the same fast panel of the X32…
Waiting for it in the hope that OLED will not win the battle.
June 23, 2023 at 9:22 am #73188PCM2Mini LED (potentially moving onto MicroLED) is definitely not done yet!
