CheckerHi, my Dell 2419H has stopped working. It’s a glossy monitor.
I absolutely despise matte/anti-glare displays as the picture quality is bad and it causes headache and eye strain to me.
Please suggest IPS monitors with glossy display and 72% NTSC. I don’t need any gaming features I mainly use it for photo and video editing.
I’m from India and we have limited options here.
Thank you

PCM2I’m sorry to hear about your S2419H, but I’m afraid that was really the last of its kind. I can’t recommend any glossy ~24″ models or indeed any glossy LCD monitors at the moment. The only glossy options currently on the market (unless you buy a used model or come across something obscure I’m unfamiliar with) are OLED models. And they start at 26.5″, whilst coming at a significant premium compared to most IPS LCDs.

CheckerThanks for the prompt response PCM2. I learned that some monitors come with haze display panel i.e they have some kind of anti-glare coating but the haze coating doesn’t interfere with picture quality, crispness, and color vibrancy.
Are there any IPS monitors like that?
If there are no glossy IPS available then which 24″ Full HD/2k monitor should I buy for it’s color vibrancy and picture quality?
Thanks

PCM2All matte anti-glare monitors are “haze” (i.e. have a haze value, whether it’s known or not). What you’d be looking for is a monitor with low haze value, or ‘very light matte’ anti-glare finish. Unfortunately that isn’t something manufacturers specify and few people will test in a useful way. I haven’t come across any ~24″ Full HD models that I’d consider fit this category.

CheckerThanks for the reply.
I looked around a lot and watched a lot of YouTube videos but I didn’t get any satisfactory answer. I would seek your recommendation.
Simply saying I want a monitor which has picture clarity, picture smoothness, and color vibrancy as close to Dell S2419H. A monitor which is good for entertainment.
Requirements
Size : 22″ – 27″
Resolution : Full HD to 2k QHD
Panel : IPS or VA
Coating : Glossy or very low-haze
Entertainment Use : Yes
Gaming Use : NoIn build speakers : Yes but not necessary
Flat or curved : Flat is preferrableIf picture quality and color vibrancy is as close to S2419H then all other things don’t matter.
If you can provide me few options then I will be grateful to you. I’m from India so we don’t have many options here which are available in the US.

PCM2Take a look at the reviews and look at those listed as having a ‘very light matte’ or at least ‘light to very light matte’ screen surface. The BenQ PD2705Q would be a good example.
