Hello,
First of all, thanks for the great website! I’m looking for a 24″ 2560 x 1440 (WQHD) monitor for use in a home office. This will be used mainly for word processing, spreadsheets, email, web browsing, looking at maps, reading PDFs, and other text-heavy work with occasional images. No gaming.
Ideally, the monitor would meet these criteria:
– 2560 x 1440 (WQHD) resolution
– 24″ screen (maybe 25″ at max). I really don’t want to go up to 27″ due to desk space and losing PPI. I really like the crisp look of text that is scaled on higher PPI displays. I plan to scale at 125% or higher.
– Very light matte (or glossy) surface (glare isn’t a big problem for me, and too heavy a coating can be unpleasant)
– DisplayPort
– No PWM or flickering
– Low blue light
– Anything else that would help increase clarity and eye comfort during long days of reading documentsIt’s hard to find monitors in the 2560 x 1440 24″ segment, but I’ve found a few candidates so far:
Dell P2423D (mentioned a couple of times in this forum)
Lenovo Q24h-10
AOC Q24G2A
ASUS ProArt Display PA24ACRV
ViewSonic VG2455-2K
LG 24BP55Q-BI imagine there are other models, though few. I’d be grateful for any recommendations or advice you could provide. Thanks!

I’m glad you like the website and forum and have found it useful. I can certainly recommend the AOC Q24G2A for these purposes. I feel the triple digit refresh rate is nice even for general productivity. You’ll likely find the precision (and general reduction in perceived blur) so nice you’ll wonder how you managed with just 60-75Hz 😉 . Another option I’d add for consideration is the KTC H24T27 which is listed in the productivity recommendations section. This one stands out for the sheer value proposition offered as a 100Hz 24″ QHD option, although I feel the extra refresh rate and pixel response speed of the AOC is “nice to have” if you aren’t on a super strict budget.

The AOC Q24G2A sounds great from your review. However, it seems to be in short supply in the US. In the Amazon link in your review, the price is currently $635.84 USD. I’m also not crazy about the “gamer” looks, but I could overlook that. If I’m not able to find it for a decent price, do you have another recommendation?
The KTC H24T27 looks like it has a lot of positives, but I’m a little hesitant about the brand, the tilt-only stand, and the build quality.
Have you heard any feedback about the Dell P2423D or the ASUS ProArt PA24ACRV?
November 1, 2024 at 7:58 pm #76657PCM2Yeah, that’s definitely not a normal (or acceptable) price for the Q24G2A! Another alternative would be the KOORUI GP01, which I consider very similar to the AOC overall. But I can understand hesitancy with brands like KTC and KOORUI which are not well known outside of Asia.
I have received some positive feedback a few months back on the ASUS PA24ACRV, as it happens. It was used for general productivity tasks and also photography – the guy is a wedding photographer and has pretty exacting standards. He was really impressed with it given his other monitor is a high end EIZO model which cost him many times as much, but he needed something more compact (and cheaper) than they offer in their range and the ASUS worked out perfectly.
