As per my previous post, the 34GP950 is not worth its asking price in my view nor the premium it fetches over competing models. It looks good on paper, but in practice doesn’t offer a particularly compelling HDR experience and that’s what you’re really paying a premium for here. They’re all based on similar LG Display IPS panel technology. The colour gamut differs and you could argue the more ‘spectrally balanced’ output of the 34GP950G and EW3880R could be more comfortable on the eyes than the 38WN75C. Alternatively, some may prefer the more muted colours of a narrower gamut – or you may be using sRGB emulation on the wide gamut options anyway. Viewing comfort is really a very individual consideration and it’s best not to try to generalise too heavily with respect to these sorts of things.

December 27, 2021 at 10:19 pm #67093PCM2As alluded to in my previous reply they’re similar in that respect and tough to separate. Though some may prefer the physical size of one or the other or get on with one backlight vs. another (they’re slightly different). The higher refresh rate of the LG can be visually more comfortable to some on the desktop as well, but for others that wouldn’t be an issue either way. The BenQ‘s LBL settings are better balanced and more flexible than LG’s ‘Reader’ mode, though most people find the ‘Reader’ mode fine and quite like using it anyway.
