Neither of them seem to have been reviewed that I could find.

      Dell G2422HS 23.8 inch 1080p 165hz IPS –

Innolux Panel? BOE panel? With BOE, from what I’m finding they might have several panels with differing characteristics? For instance I’ve seen displays with measured with relatively contrast (eg. LG 24GN600) at about 1:800 as well ones with up to 1:1200.

      Viewsonic XG250 (https://www.viewsonic.com/global/products/lcd/XG250#specs) –
      24.5inch 1080p IPS 280hz

From the information given I’m guessing it’s likely an AUO panel? Possibly similar to the Asus VG259QM? The HDR10/DisplayHDR400 support and certification (if accurate) makes me think it’s not the LG panel.

Based on information I can gather, the ViewSonic XG250 uses an overclocked AUO M250HAN01 family panel, as used in many of the 24.5″ 240Hz (or slightly overclocked) models. Including the AW2521HF we’ve reviewed and the ASUS VG259QM you mentioned.

The Dell G2422HS probably does interchangeably use different panels and could even use a mixture of BOE and Innolux panels, I can’t confirm the panels used on that one. Both manufacturers have panels matching its specification, including the TÜV Rheinland certified hardware solution for the backlight. I have no specific feedback to share on either model so can’t recommend them as I would with a well-rounded alternative like the AOC 24G2SP(U).

Just wondering, what’s the major differences between the Innolux and BOE panels?

Besides the Gigabyte G24F, are there other monitors confirmed with this panel?

The Innolux panels tend to have a slightly smoother (less grainy and slightly lighter) screen surface than the BOE panels and the contrast is often just slightly stronger. I wouldn’t say these are massive differences that most would readily notice to be honest, which is why the manufacturers are sometimes happy to use such panels interchangeably. I’m not aware of a model other than the G24F which is confirmed to use one of the Innolux panels.
