Slightly modifying the title of the thread “Making sense of the current 27″ 1440p ~144hz IPS segment“, I open this new one so we can discuss 27” UHD high refresh rate monitors.
Hope the web admin feels this makes sense. I wanted to ask so much about 4k monitors in that thread but of course did not make sense.

To start… if I got it right from the site… right now there are the reviewed monitors in this segment:
      MSI MPG 274URF QD (2024)
      Gigabyte M27U (2023)
      Acer XB273K (2019)
      ASUS PG27UQ (2018)

I should add there are also quite a few 28″ models in this segment, although the focus has shifted more to 27″ (or 26.5″ in the case of QD-OLED options). They already have their own thread where some discussion has taken place. The 28″ 144Hz+ models reviewed are the Acer XV282K KV and ASUS VG28UQL1A.

Makes sense. 26.5 or 28 shouldn’t be discriminated here as I understand they belong to the same segment. [mod edit: added “~” to title to reflect this]

Currently am thinking on getting myself two Gigabyte M27U, or two MSI MPG 274URF QD.
The MSI winning in terms of pricing and I guess… color? with the QD layer.
In aesthetics the MSI is a horrible mess but it’s not like I keep checking the back of the monitor all day…

Indeed, the rear of the screen will rarely be viewed (especially if it faces a wall). With those particular models in mind you may find this thread helpful if you haven’t already read through it as it draws a quick comparison between those two.
