Hello, I’m a video editor and cinematographer looking for monitor with good color accuracy and I’d prefer that it’s an ultrawide, because I wanted to test that out for a few years now.
Until now I’ve used 2 monitors where one had better color accuracy and was used as reference monitor and other one was used as my timeline one.
Also, one thing I wanted to mention is that I’ve switch to a MacBook Pro with M2 Max as my main unit for editing, so I’d prefer something that has usb-c or thunderbolt connectivity, so I could have just one cable plugged into my Mac for convenience and easy portability which I need.

      Thanks in advance! 🙂

        Hi roronoazoro,

If you refer to the ‘photo and video editing monitors‘ section, you’ll see the ViewSonic VP3881a is suggested for such purposes as a ~38″ option. You didn’t specify what size of ultrawide you were considering, but if it’s a 34″ model instead then ViewSonic doesn’t have a direct 34″ counterpart (the VP3481a is a VA model with more limited colour gamut). The LG ultrawide recommended for gaming (34GN850-B) could also work, but there’s no USB-C and for sRGB purposes you’d really want to calibrate it with your own colorimeter or similar device. The 34WP85C could be considered as an alternative, offering similar performance but restricted to 60Hz and with USB-C functionality. There’s also the Dell UltraSharp U3423WE to consider with enhanced contrast IPS Black panel, but I haven’t received any feedback and don’t have strong thoughts on this one currently.

Thank you very much for you fast response and help! Also, I forgot to mention I was mostly looking for 34 inch options, but I might even consider the 38 inch one, because I should be able to fit it on my desk. 🙂

          Thanks again!
